Crochet Pineapple

Hi Lovies! This crochet pineapple makes me dream of taking a trip to the beach!

A lovely friend of mine requested my newest crochet project be a pineapple to accent her summer pineapple home decor.

I must say it turned out rather adorable and I tried a new stitch I’ve never used before: the popcorn stitch! This gave him a nice pineapple texture which is fun to make and adorable.

I thought It would only be fitting if I snacked on some fresh pineapple while creating this cutie; so, I did.

Enjoy!

Closing:

  • Now add your stuffing and safety eyes (you can also choose to sew on yarn eyes).
  • Work 1 round of SC then continue to alternate SC and SC decrease until the opening is closed. (This will make a platform for your leaves!)
  • Tie off and weave in the loose end.

Crochet Pineapple Leaf Attachment:

I think my favorite step of amigurumi is when all of the pieces are complete and they just need to be attached.

Using your tapestry needle and the tails of the leaves, sew each leaf onto the top of your pineapple.

I placed four leaves in a circle around the top and one in the center. Tie off your loose ends and trim.
